Vevay, IN Hotels

Vevay is a small town in Switzerland County, Indiana. It has fewer than 2,000 inhabitants and is located beside the Ohio River. According to legend, Vevay was home to the first commercial winery in the United States and still offers several wine-related tours. It is near the Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge, the Kentucky Speedway and Belterra casino. There are several places to stay in Vevay and the surrounding area.

    • The Belmark Inn was established in 1816 and can be found in the center of Vevay. It is close to the town's Historic Hoosier Theater, the Ohio Museum, the Switzerland County Historical Museum and a number of shops and restaurants. More luxurious options such as Spa Suite 12, which offers a queen-size post bed and a hot tub, are also available. Breakfast is included in the room price.

Guests can enjoy views of the hills of Indiana, the resort's golf course, and the Ohio River. Rooms range from the Classic Double to the Deluxe King, with its jacuzzi tub, marble bathroom and separate water closet. All rooms provide cable television, Internet access and a coffeemaker. There are two floors to the casino, which is full of table games and slot machines. The resort offers a heated outdoor pool (May to October), a spa and several places to eat.

    • The Fairway Inn is also around 10 minutes from Vevay by car and is close to Belterra casino. The hotel provides 41 smoking and nonsmoking rooms with a choice of bed types. Suites with whirlpool tubs are also available and a continental breakfast is included. The Fairway Inn provides free Internet access and a 24-hour shuttle bus service to the Belterra Resort, where there are plenty of restaurants and activities to take part in. It is also close to Coyote Creek Farm and the Kentucky Speedway.
