There is one bed and breakfast establishment located in Crystal Beach. Out by the Sea is located in the town of Crystal Beach. Less than one block off of the beach, the bed and breakfast offers convenient access to both Crystal Beach and Stingaree Cove. Coba's On the Coast, Steve's Landing and Jose Cantina are restaurants all within a short walk. Out by the Sea offers two honeymoon suites, complete with four post beds, French doors, jacuzzi and a loveseat. Other rooms at Out by the Sea offer comfortable lodging, with queen0size beds and a view of the Gulf of Mexico. All rooms offer private bathrooms, satellite television and a home-cooked breakfast.
There is one motel located on Bolivar Peninsula. The Paradise Oasis Motel, located in Crystal Beach, is within two blocks of the beach. Pepper Grove Cove and Little Elmgrove Bayou, two excellent areas for fishing and birdwatching, are near the motel. The Outrigger Grill is located adjacent to the Paradise Oasis Motel, and Coconut's Restaurant and Pirate's Grill are within a three-block walk. Rooms at the motel feature kitchenette, microwave, refrigerator and color television. For long-term guests, the motel offers weekly and monthly rates.
There is one motel located in High Island. The Gulfway Motel & Restaurant is a 15-minute walk to the beaches along Highway 87. The 30 rooms at the Gulfway offer a refrigerator, cable television and charcoal grill in each room. The motel also has an outdoor swimming pool. The restaurant at the motel is open for breakfast, serving such fare as omelets and T-bone steaks. Other restaurants located nearby include Fantasea BBQ and Stingaree.
While there are many hotels located in nearby Galveston, the closest hotel to the Galveston-Bolivar Ferry port (see Resources) is the Wyndham. The Wyndham, constructed in 1911, is a historic stone and stucco hotel located in nearby Galveston. Other attractions located near the Wyndham include the Grand 1894 Opera House and The Strand shopping district. Rooms at the Wyndham offer Health Smart mattresses, iPod docking stations and cable television. The hotel also offers a fitness center, spa, outdoor pool and complementary shuttle service to the Houston Airport.
