Kaibab, Arizona, is a town of about 224 residents located 30 minutes from the Utah border. Kaibab may be a stop on the way to experience the Grand Canyon National Park a few hours away or the Kaibab National Forest two hours south. Few options exist for lodging in Kaibab itself; however, visitors can find hotels in surrounding areas, such as Fredonia and Kanab.
Located in the North Kaibab National Forest, 5 miles north of the entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and 30 minutes northeast from Kaibab, the Kaibab Lodge is situated more than 8,000 feet above sea level. The lodge opens in mid-May and remains in operation until the November 2. Most cabins are furnished with double beds with access to a private bathroom, while some rooms contain cooking stoves. There are no televisions or telephones available in the cabins.
Located in Fredonia, just 20 minutes southwest of Kaibab, the Jacob Lake Inn sits near a small body of water that is fed by rain and melted snow on top of the Kaibab Plateau. The inn offers cabins and guest rooms, each equipped with heater, air conditioner and Internet access. The inn features on-site massage therapy, road biking and mountain biking, and it is within driving distance to the Kaibab National Forest and the Grand Canyon. The inn is surrounded by cliffs, canyons, sand dunes and Indian reservations.
Located in Kanab, just 30 minutes northeast of Kaibab, the Victorian Charm Inn offers 20 guest rooms with Victorian-era themes. Each room is equipped with cable television, a Jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. The inn also features a made-to-order full breakfast for guests. It is surrounded by many attractions, including Lake Powell, Zion National Park, Zion Narrows, Virgin River and Bryce Canyon. It is about an hour north of the Kaibab National Forest.
Located in Kanab, the Coral Cliffs Townhomes overlook the Coral Cliffs Golf Course. Guests can stay for as little as one night to a month and enjoy rooms featuring complete kitchens and satellite television. Guests have access to a swimming pool and hot tub at the neighboring Comfort Inn and can receive discounted golf passes. Surrounding attractions include Bryce Canyon National Park, Lake Powell and the Grand Canyon National Park, situated just 78 miles south of Kanab.
