Hotels near Leupp, Arizona

Leupp is a census-designated place in northern Arizona's Cocino County; Leupp was home to just under a thousand people, as of the 2000 U.S. Census. Leupp, about 13 square miles in size, was home to a Japanese internment camp -- the Leupp Isolation Center -- during World War II, the abandoned ruins of which are still standing on the Navajo reservation. Travelers also flock to the nearby city of Winslow, where a number of historic sites still stand.

    • La Posada Hotel was first built in 1929, based on the designs of architect Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, to service the nearby Santa Fe Railroad.
