The Arizona Biltmore, dating back to the 1920s, is one of the oldest and most famous hotels in Phoenix. The Biltmore sits in the northwest section of the city, just down the road from Scottsdale, in an area populated with several other hotels. The Ritz Carlton is a premier hotel no matter what city you're in, and Phoenix is no different. The five-star hotel is less than two blocks from the original Biltmore Hotel and offers 281 luxury rooms and suites. While all rooms include featherbeds, marble bathrooms and refreshment bars, the suites at the Ritz Carlton can be as large as 12 rooms, with panoramic mountain views, jetted bathtubs and even a baby grand piano. Located just a quarter mile down the road from the Biltmore is the modest and affordable Extended Stay Deluxe Hotel. As the name suggests, the hotel is designed for those planning longer stays; most of the accommodations are pet-friendly studios that contain a queen-sized bed and sleeper sofa, as well as a small study area and kitchenette. The hotel has a fitness center, an outdoor pool and a spa. As with most Extended Stays, enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning.

Located on the other side of the Biltmore Golf Club from the Biltmore Hotel itself is the Hermosa Inn. The Hermosa is similar to the Biltmore in that it is not part of a chain. The ultra-chic inn refers to itself as a "boutique hideaway" and offers a number of ranch-style suites that include king-size beds, personal patios, custom wooden furniture and antique bathtubs. Many also feature private fireplaces and jacuzzis. As for dining options, the hotel hosts the award-winning Lon's restaurant, which serves organic nouveau southwest American cuisine arranged by head chef Jeremy Pacheco.
