Located near Tuba City, Moenkopi, Arizona is a Hopi community of less than one thousand people in the northern portion of the state. Founded by Hopi residents of the Third Mesa village as a farming region in 1870, the community boasts strong ties to the Hopi heritage. While there is only one hotel in Moenkopi proper, neighboring Tuba City and other areas have ample accommodations for travelers wishing to explore the area and its culture.
