Lake Wallowa is located in North Eastern Oregon, a six-hour drive from Portland and one mile south of the city of Joseph. The lake is four miles long and has a width of ¾ mile. The majority of the hotel resorts are located at the southern tip of the lake.
Wallowa Lake Lodge is right on the lake with eight cabins and 22 rooms. The cabins have lake views and come with a stone fireplace that has wood provided daily. The eight-acre site includes a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. Wallowa Lake Lodge operates a no-smoking and no-pet policy.
The Eagle Cap Chalets has two condominiums and nine cabins that include a daily maid service. On-site there is a luxury spa, a heated indoor swimming pool and a conference center available for wedding bookings. The Chalet site features a miniature golf course and a snack and espresso bar.
Rental cabins at the Wallowa Lake Resort come with free boat parking, a full kitchen, free Wi-Fi Internet access and a TV. The cabin’s each have an outdoor hot tub. The cabins have a pet-friendly policy. An on-site manager provides 24-hour assistance to guests and can be contacted in case of repairs or the need for extra amenities. Wallowa Lake Resort runs a free shuttle service to Joseph Airport.
The Matterhorn Swiss Village is an imitation Swiss building that has an ice cream shop and the Die Alpen Gift Store. A two-bedroom condominium can be rented on the upper floor of the building with a king-sized and queen-sized bed and three hide-away beds that hold up to a total of 10 people.
On the Wallowa River is the Flying Arrow Resort that has a range of 40 cabins in either an executive style or rustic style, which can sleep between one and six people. The resort includes the heated outdoor swimming pool in the Lake Wallow area and an indoor hot tub.
Situated on the shores of Lake Wallowa, Trouthaven Resort has a number of cabins for rent that sleep between two and six people. Each cabin comes with a front porch with table and chairs, a fully-furnished kitchen, and queen-sized beds. The resort has fishing equipment and boats for rent and a limited number of docks to moor personal boats at a fee.
