Damariscotta is a small town located in the mid-coast region of Maine, halfway between Portland and Bangor. Situated at the base of one of Maine's numerous peninsulas, Damariscotta is a picture-perfect coastal community, home to a thriving downtown with plenty of distinctive shops and restaurants. The Oyster Shell Motel is just outside downtown Damariscotta on Business Route 1, within walking distance of many shops, bars and restaurants.
