Motels at Truman Lake, Missouri

The largest man-made lake in the state of Missouri, Truman Lake is also known as Truman Reservoir. Truman Lake has two cities close to its shores, Warsaw to the east and Clinton to the west. Created by damming the Osage River in 1979, the lake offers some of the best fishing and power boating in the Midwest. Several state and local parks are situated on its shores including Harry Truman State Park, Osage Bluff, Shawnee Bend and Kaysinger Bluff public use areas.

  1. Uncle Gabby's Motel

    • Catering to fishermen who come to the area to enjoy Truman Lake’s bass fishing, Uncle Gabby's is a no-frills motel with 24 rooms, each with either two double beds or a single queen bed. Amenities include a refrigerator and microwave but little else. Guests with boats will find electric hookups outside each room. Located 10 miles west of Warsaw and 15 miles east of Clinton, the motel is just minutes from the lake. Boaters will find boat ramps at several nearby marinas including Bucksaw, Windsor Crossing, Long Shoal and Truman State Park. Guests looking for a meal only have to walk a few hundred feet to "Our Place," a popular local diner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Parkfield Inn Warsaw

    • The Parkfield Inn in Warsaw is located between Truman Lake and the Lake of the Ozarks. Just a few miles from the Harry Truman dam, the motel offers access to the expansive lake and is located near the Lost Valley fish hatchery. The hotel has 57 rooms with basic amenities. Most rooms are standard doubles featuring two beds, however, there are a few loft suites available as well as mini suites with hot tubs. Guests looking for a prime rib dinner need only to hike down the road to the Benton House featuring steaks and American cuisine. The El Camino Real, located around the corner next to the Wal Mart Supercenter, offers a Mexican menu and a is locally known for their margaritas.

    Parkfield Inn Clinton

    • The sister hotel of the Parkfield Inn in Warsaw, the Parkfield Clinton offers many of the same amenities with 60 rooms. A better choice for larger families, the Clinton location has several two-room suites. This is a nonsmoking hotel with an indoor pool and spa. A complimentary breakfast is served daily. Located near Katy Trail State Park, the hotel is accessible to historic downtown Clinton. Dining options include several fast food restaurants including McDonald's, Domino's and Sonic. A Golden Corral Buffet is located across the street, and Applebees is located a block south.

    Bucksaw Marina Motel

    • Located at the 25-mile marker on the South Grand River branch of Truman Lake, The Bucksaw Marina is a full-service marina. The marina's motel is physically located on the water. A small motel, it offers just six accommodations each with a double bed and a kitchenette. The rooms sleep up to four people comfortably. Perfect for boaters, the motel offers use of door-front boat slips at an additional fee. The Marina restaurant, which is also located on the water, offers breakfast lunch and dinner. Due to its remote location, the only other dining options are 10 miles away in the community of Tightwad.

    Osage Bluff Lodge

    • Located near Warsaw, the Osage Bluff Lodge offers a great view of Truman Lake from its perch. Overlooking the Osage River arm of the lake, the lodge features 40 units including 21 with stocked kitchenettes. Designed for boaters, the lodge has boat and trailer parking as well as battery charging outlets. The lake around the Lodge features a mile-long ski cove, concrete launch ramps as well as fish cleaning and freezing facilities. Guests who don't want to catch and cook their dinner can dine at the Hill-Top Bar-B-Q or the Osage Bluff Marina Restaurant.
