Lemoine Town is located in central Louisiana and is home to many parks and wildlife refuge areas. The Lake Ophelia National Wildlife Refuge is one such area and has many endangered species on its grounds. While there, visitors may see bald eagles, arctic peregrine falcon and the American Widgeon as well as non-endangered animals like beavers, alligators, turkeys and fox. The Lake Ophelia Wildlife Refuge is open to the public and admission is free. While Lemoine Town does not have any hotels, there are many in the surrounding areas.
