Peakvillle is a small, peaceful town located in Delaware County in Southern New York state. It is located off of New York State Route 17 east of East Branch. It is near the Delaware River, which people use for recreational activities such as fishing, and canoeing. There are a few hotels that you can stay at if you are around the Peakville area.
This 1890s house is a bed and breakfast hotel. The hotel has four large rooms and breakfast is served between between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. There are also gardens with outdoor tables to sit and enjoy your breakfast. There is a public area with a main living room, and a special arts and crafts area. The public area also includes a DVD collection, and even games. There is also a coffee and tea area on the second floor hallway where you can have a cup of coffee or tea.
The Beaver Del is located in East Branch, NY, on the Delaware river. This is a nature recreation area with many activities such as fishing, hiking, canoeing, and cycling. The hotel features eleven rooms include a bedroom with two large beds, and a bathroom with a shower. The Beaver Del also includes a tent area, a boat launch and a 30 slot RV area with hookups. There is even a restaurant and a bar with a dance floor and stage for live performances.
The Buckhorn Lodge is located in nearby East Branch, on the Delaware River. It is a group of small cottages that include a bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchen, and a living and dining area. The bedroom includes two queen sized beds. You can go fishing in the river, right in front of the cottages. There are tables set up outside so that you can enjoy your meals, and even have a barbecue, or picnic. The Buckhorn Lodge even has 2,000 acres that can be used for hunting and hiking.
The Hancock House is a hotel located in Hancock, New York, near the Delaware River, to the east of Peakville. The hotel is modeled after the original Hancock House that was built in 1848, and had closed in the 1970s. The hotel has about 32 mission style decorated rooms. There are three different types of rooms at the hotel. The Queen Rooms include two queen sized beds and the King Rooms include two king sized beds. The standard features for these rooms are large sofa, ironing board, alarm clock/radio, telephone, and a TV with 80 cable channels. The suites include a living room with a large sofa, and an LCD TV with a DVD/VHS player.
