The Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) is situated to the southeast of downtown Grand Rapids in western Michigan. Attractions in the Grand Rapids area include several colleges, the Grand Rapids Civic Center and the Gerald R. Ford Museum. Lake Michigan is approximately 40 minutes away. No hotels are located directly adjacent to the airport, but plenty are in the surrounding area. The airport is the second-busiest in Michigan, offering service on eight passenger airlines as of January 2011.

The restaurant features a lunch buffet with freshly carved meats and a snow crab cluster buffet on Fridays. The Spinnaker also offers room service. Two malls are within two miles of the Hilton, and the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center is less than three miles away. The Patterson Ice Center is half a mile away. The SpringHill Suites Grand Rapids Airport Southeast hotel is three miles from the airport. Hotel features include a 24-hour food mart, cocktail lounge, fitness center and indoor pool. LongHorn Steakhouse is nearby, located next to a Target store. Three golf courses can be found less than five miles from the hotel. As of January 2011, rooms start at $139 a night, and last-minute weekend deals are also available at $99 a night.
The Holiday Inn Grand Rapids - Airport hotel has a full-service restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the airport, which is only several minutes away. The Holiday Inn has 2,400 square feet of meeting space and is within a short drive to a handful of corporate offices. Room rates as of January 2011 are $114 a night. Cornerstone University is eight miles from the hotel, while the Frederik Meijer Gardens are five miles away. The Holiday Inn is eight miles from downtown Grand Rapids and less than a mile from Centerpointe and Woodland shopping malls.
