  1. Ride the Retro Rails

    • While Branson has no Amtrak service, visitors there can still enjoy the nostalgia of a train trip. Known as the "Mainline Through the Ozarks," Branson Scenic Railway travels through the Ozark foothills, across bridges and trestles, through tunnels and past the relics of long-abandoned towns. Depending on the season, three to four narrated excursions depart from the historic Branson depot for northern journeys to the James River Valley and southern trips into Arkansas. On Saturdays from April through November, the Branson rails add a touch of romance to the trips with a candlelight dinner train. Both 40-mile trips return to Branson in time for you to catch a show in the "Live Music Capital of the World."
