Scobey maintains its old pioneer spirit, and nowhere is this more evident than in the last weekend of June, when the town throws its annual Pioneer Days festival. Held at and around the Dirty Shame Saloon, the festival features variety shows, a "thresherman's breakfast" of pancakes and sausage using old pioneer methods, a parade, and other children's themed festivities.
The town's pioneer history is also on display at the Daniels County Museum & Pioneer Town, featuring 35 historic buildings restored to resemble an early-1900s pioneer town. Scobey also features a nine-hole golf course, ice skating rink, bowling alley, a roping area, and hundreds of acres of hunting and fishing.
