Malibu Motels

Situated along the Southern California coastline, Malibu is known for its beautiful beaches and impressive houses. Because it is only 50 miles from busy downtown Los Angeles, Malibu is a welcome respite for those wanting to escape city life for a few hours or a long weekend. There are many motels in the Malibu area that provide accommodations to visitors.

    • Centrally located on Pacific Coast Highway, the Malibu Motel's 18 rooms all have views of the Pacific Ocean. As of January 2011, a one-night stay at the motel costs between $125 and $219. The motel is within walking distance of the ocean, and it has an outdoor swimming pool for guests to enjoy.

    Malibu Riviera Motel

    • Open to the public since 1947, the Malibu Riviera Motel is an affordable motel for those on a budget. The Pacific ocean is a half-mile from the motel, and the back of the motel is only steps away from a creek. The motel has recently been remodeled and it now has free wireless Internet service available for use by guests.

    Casa Malibu Inn on the Beach

    • For those who really want to experience the ocean in Malibu, the Casa Malibu Inn is directly on the beach. The 19-room motel owns a private strip of the beach that guests can use for sunbathing, relaxing and swimming. For the convenience of guests, the motel provides beach chairs and umbrellas.

    Malibu Country Inn

    • With 16 rooms available, the Malibu Country Inn is a cozy retreat for those looking to experience a relaxing and calm vacation in Malibu. Each room has its own patio and a private refrigerator. Additionally, there is an outdoor heated pool that guests can relax in after a long day at the beach. Some rooms even have their own Jacuzzi tubs. There is also a restaurant on the grounds of the motel, The Collection Restaurant. As of January 2011, rooms at the nonsmoking motel start at $130 per night.
