Minonk is a small town in central Illinois' Woodford County. Its origins and growth parallel that of the railroad system in Illinois. Minonk's history dates back to the mid-19th century, when the production and use of the railroads peaked. Today, the population of the town is dwindling, and once thriving businesses are closing their doors. Visitors to the town have only one option for lodging, but surrounding towns can offer other choices.
