Bryant-Denny Stadium is the home of University of Alabama football, which draws nearly 100,000 fans on game days in the fall. There are hotels within walking distance, and some on or bordering the campus. There are more in the immediate area of Tuscaloosa offering a base for exploring all there is to see and do here in addition to football.
The Hotel Capstone, on the University of Alabama campus and two blocks from Bryant-Denny Stadium, is a luxury hotel in Tuscaloosa. It is booked more than a year in advance for game weekends, but you may enjoy any of its more than 150 rooms and suites other times of the year. You may raise the luxury level by going to a Club Level room, which offers bathrobes and other services. The hotel has a restaurant featuring southern cooking, called Legends. Other Southern cooking-type restaurants within walking distance are Dreamland Drive-Thru Bar-B-Que, Chuck's Fish and Evangeline's Restaurant.
The Hampton Inn is on the western edge of campus and just under a mile from Bryant-Denny Stadium. The hotel has 102 rooms with either one king-size bed or two queen-size beds.This hotel is close to Bryant-Denny Stadium and also convenient to the interstates and downtown Tuscaloosa. A hot breakfast is served, and there are plenty of restaurants in the immediate area, such as Dreamland Ribs, Red Lobster, Pepito's Mexican Grill and Wings Sports Grille.
On the edge of campus, and just a few blocks from Bryant-Denny Stadium, is the Holiday Inn-Express. In addition to being close to the stadium, the hotel is also close to downtown and the river. The hotel has 109 rooms, 20 suites and seven rooms that are handicap-accessible. A free breakfast buffet is served. A local tradition is Milo's Burgers, just a few blocks away. Since the late 1940s, Milo's has been serving burgers with its own special sauce. Memorial Drive has a lot of restaurants to choose from.
Bryant-Denny Stadium is on the west side of the University of Alabama campus. There are a variety of midpriced hotels on Veterans Memorial Parkway just to the south, such as Holiday Inn Express and Microtel. Two miles southwest is the intersection of interstates 59 and 359, where there are luxury hotels such as Courtyard by Marriott.
