White Haven, Pennsylvania, is an area of the United States that gets four distinct seasons. It is located in the heart of Pennsylvania, 52 miles northwest of Allentown. Winter attracts sports enthusiasts ski resorts in the area. During the rest of the year the town offers outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, hunting, fishing and historical sites.

  1. Downtown

    • East Side Inn and the Nights Inn are the only two lodging locations in downtown White Haven. The East Side Inn is locally owned and offers comfortable rooms and prepared food. The Nights Hotel is located just across the street from the White Haven Family Diner.

    Ponoco Mountains

    • East of White Haven and four miles up into the Pocono Mountains there is another cluster of motels and restaurants. This little cluster of civilization is nestled between Hickory Run State Park and miles of State Game Lands. This area was built primarily for ski guests of Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski areas just minutes away. There are a Comfort Inn, Econo Lodge Inn, Ramada, Knights Inn and Holiday Inn all located here on Route 940.

Still only minutes from the area’s popular ski slopes, the resort caters to romantic couples, singles and families alike.

    Lodge

    • Summer and fall spell hunting and fishing in White Haven. For the serious outdoorsman with a picky family, the Inn and Hickory Run will appeal to you. This rustic lodge is located south of White Haven on the edges of Hickory Run State Park where camping, hunting and hiking are activities available in the summer season. The Lehigh River splashes beside the inn, calling to kayakers and fishermen. The inn, while being in a wilderness setting, is also close to many activities. The Ponoco Hershey Resort Golf Course is less than two miles up the road from Hickory Run. There are multiple historical attractions within hiking distance of the inn, like Eckley Miners' Village, Lehigh Tannery and Jim Thorpe.
