Approximately 50 miles east of Buffalo in western and upstate New York, Letchworth State Park encompasses 14,350 acres along the Genesee River. The park, which is often called the Grand Canyon of the East, features three waterfalls, spectacular cliffs and a host of hiking, fishing and sightseeing opportunities. One hotel is in the park, while two more are just outsides of its boundaries.
The Glen Iris Inn is located in the park itself and is an historic building. It has 12 standard rooms along with four luxury suites. The standard rooms are equipped with either one or two twin beds, dressing tables and their own baths. The suites have all of the above as well as living areas with sofas and chairs, hardwood floors and whirlpool tubs. They also have private porches that provide a view of the park's Middle Falls and a gorge. The inn's on-site restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will also pack baskets for picnics. The restaurant has an extensive selection of wines as well. It is open from early April until late October. It features a couple of specials, including a Harvest package that comes with a dinner for two, breakfast and overnight accommodations. The Glen Iris Inn also operates four other cottages and houses within the park.

The Colonial Inn, located a couple of miles south of Letchworth State Park in the town of Portageville, features 14 rooms on its scenic five-acre property. Houghton College can be found 20 miles to the south of the Colonial Inn. All of the inn's rooms are smoke free. The rooms have the standard amenities along with refrigerators and private baths. The doors in the rooms open to the outside of the hotel. The hotel has plenty of room for parking, manicured grounds with a large lawn area, and a meeting room for events and groups. Discount rates are offered for extended stays. Children under 17 stay free.

The Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Mount Morris can be found a few miles from the northern end of Letchworth State Park. Highlights at this nonsmoking hotel include free high-speed Internet access, a heated indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and a free daily breakfast. The rooms have the usual amenities along with a country-style decor. Guests also receive a free copy of USA Today and can take advantage of the hotel's laundry room. The Genesee River Restaurant is located next door. The 1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museum is also a few miles from the hotel.
