U.S. Interstate 264, also known as the Watterson Expressway, is a highway in central Kentucky that runs through the city of Louisville. The expressway was named for newspaper editor Henry Watterson in 1948. The road travels through the Louisville riverfront, Irish Hill commercial district and the Louisville International Airport. Several lodging establishments are located near the Watterson Expressway to cater to travelers.
