The city of Cornwall, Ontario, is located on the St. Lawrence River, at the border of Quebec and Ontario. It is home to several distribution centers for various companies, serving central Canada. The distance from Cornwall to Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal is about 75 miles, and Canada Highway 401 which connects Toronto and Montreal runs through the city. The First Canada Inn in Cornwall has five types of rooms, where the "efficiency rooms" and double rooms are most similar to traditional motel rooms. The Spa Room, however, features a two-person Jacuzzi next to the king size bed. It has a gas fireplace which is visible from both the bathtub and bed. The Grand Ammjays Fairview Inn has separate smoking and non-smoking wings. Most rooms are of normal hotel standard, with parking outside. Pets are allowed throughout the hotel. The Jacuzzi suites, however, have king beds and in-room Jacuzzi bathtubs. The suites can be rented as part of the special honeymoon packages.

The Ramada Cornwall has two suites which were renovated in 2009. The Executive and Leisure suites have separate bedroom and living rooms. Both suites have jacuzzi bathtubs and gas fireplaces in the living room. The other 114 rooms have the usual amenities, including cribs and cots for children. The hotel also has a heated indoor pool and gym, and is completely smoke-free.

In the lobby of the of the Best Western Parkway Inn and Conference Center there are two bars: The sports bar, and a lounge with wing-backed chairs and a log burning fireplace. The rustic style is featured in the rooms, which all have pine furniture. The Whirlpool and King Canopy Bed rooms also have both have Jacuzzi bathtubs and electric fireplaces. The three Luxury Suites of the hotel have king size beds, two-person Jacuzzi bathtubs and gas fireplaces.
