Germany's hotel management colleges aim to prepare students to enter a career in the hotel or hospitality industry. Most courses are taught in German, however some English courses are available. You will need experience in the industry working in a hotel, restaurant or related hospitality position. The amount of work experience required varies from school to school.
Hotelfachschule offers a hospitality management course that takes two years to complete. The course aims to provide students with a well rounded education in the management skills needed for the hospitality industry. The course covers marking, human resources management, finance and management strategies. To gain acceptance, students must has an excellent grasp of German and two to three years of experience in the hospitality industry workings as a hotel assistant, waiter or chef.
