The Hartbeespoort Dam is a popular destination in the Bojanala Region of the North West Province of South Africa. The area is surrounded by the Magaliesberg Mountains and several hills and valleys.     Leopard Lodge

    • The Leopard Lodge is a private game farm located in the Magaliesberg Mountains. There are 16 African-themed rooms available at the Leopard Lodge for 16 singles or 32 sharing. All guest rooms include bathrooms with showers and some have Jacuzzi tubs, views of the mountains, animals at the water hole, pool view and air conditioning. There is a pool for guests as well as business services available including conference equipment, copying, fax and Internet facilities. Guests to the Leopard Lodge will find wild animals roaming around the area, such as zebras, giraffes, jackals, impala, kudu, wildebeest and more. According to the lodge site, leopards live in the mountains but are rarely seen. Nearby, guests can take a hot-air balloon ride, visit Dutch Cheese Farm, the Elephant Sanctuary and Cheetah Farm, and dine at the area restaurants, such as Squires Restaurant and Catalino's.
