Busuanga is one of 7,000 Philippine Islands, the largest of the Calamian Group of islands that lie between the provinces of Palawan and Mindoro. The Coral Bay Beach Resort is accredited by the Department of Tourism as a "Special Interest Resort." The bay itself is a marine conservation area. This resort is built on a 900-meter-long beach of white sands and clear blue waters, surrounded by almost a quarter mile of coral reefs. Inland are mangrove forests and jungles near majestic cliffs of limestone. All native-style cottages are on the beach, fronting the sea. The resort has two dining pavilions, a library, billiard table, television and Internet. Cruise rides are available, passing through and giving opportunity to explore uninhabited islands. Dive courses and snorkeling are also available.
