The area known as the Hamptons is made up of 24 villages located at the eastern end of Long Island in New York State. The area boasts beautiful landscapes and some of the best beaches in the world and as a result it has been the favoured summer vacation destination for the rich and famous since the late 1800s.

    • The MYC has been a popular vacation destination for 80 years and the original members of the club included the likes of Vincent Astor and J.P. Morgan. It is located in the Hamlet of Montauk in East Hampton County and features 107 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, villas and suites. MYC offers a variety of activities including a surf school, spa and the opportunity to charter a boat, as well as an arts and crafts summer program for kids ages four through 10.     Baron's Cove Inn

    • This small harbor-side hotel is located in the historical village of Sag Harbor, a short walk from Main Street and a short drive from the beaches of the Hamptons. The 66 guest rooms are comfortably furnished and all feature microwaves, refrigerators and televisions. Standard rooms accommodate up to three, while deluxe lofts can accommodate up to six. The hotel has the added benefit of an outdoor pool as well as a roof top sundeck and a private tennis court, with golf and sailing also available nearby.     Gurney's Inn

    • Gurney's Inn prides itself on being a favourite choice for stressed New Yorkers seeking solitude in its "remote and windswept setting.. The hotel is located in Montauk and boasts spectacular ocean views as well as one of the few true seawater pools.     Southampton Inn

    • Describing itself as "a true Hamptons hotel," the Southampton Inn is located in Southampton Village at the East End of Long Island. It sits in more than 5 acres of lawns and landscaped gardens and is a short walk from excellent beaches, shopping and dining. The hotel accommodates 90 rooms, distinctively decorated and all featuring wireless Internet and cable televisions. Many are also interconnected for the benefit of larger groups or families. The widely acclaimed OSO Restaurant serves a breakfast of local farm-fresh produce and baked goods, with dinner taking served either al fresco or in the dining room. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool as well as a tennis court and other activities such as horse riding, golf and jet skiing are available nearby. As of September 2010, king or queen rooms start at $209 per night. The hotel does permit pets for a small fee.
