Edmundston is a mid-sized city in New Brunswick, Canada across the border from Maine. As the city is also close to Quebec, 93 percent of its population speaks French as a first language. There are many motels and hotels in Edmundston, most of which are along or near the Trans-Canada Highway.

An additional 10 cabins feature two double beds each. Also on the property is a small restaurant specializing in seafood. The motel is situated near an automobile museum, a large city park and the New Brunswick Botanical Garden.

Martin's Motel is located across the St. John River, close to downtown Edmundston but on the United States side of the border. The motel bills itself as an ideal base for winter sports, especially snowmobiling, in northern Maine. Twelve rooms are available, one of which features three full beds and a sofa and the second of which offers two full beds and a sofa bed. The other 10 rooms include one to two beds of varying sizes. Continental breakfast is served every morning. Rates range from $48 to $68 a night as of September, 2010.
