Seaside is a planned community near Grayton Beach State Park in Florida's Walton County. It was founded by Daryl and Robert Davis in 1979 and is primarily a resort village. Seaside overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and offers visitors a variety of restaurants, cafes, shops and cultural events. Accommodation is available that can be rented for months at a time or vacationers can choose one of Seaside's hotels.
The Inn by the Sea is situated within 45 minute's of Panama City Beach airport. It is a three-star hotel spread over two floors and containing seven rooms. As of September, 2010, prices start from around $279 per person per night and include breakfast. Shared facilities for guests include three heated outdoor swimming pools, free parking, tennis, croquet and a fitness center.

The Watercolor Inn and Resort Seaside is a beachfront resort spread over four floors. Each of the hotel's 60 beach-facing rooms has a porch, walk-in shower, Internet access and a DVD player. Prices start from $235 per night (as of September, 2010). Shared facilities for guests include three swimming pools, fitness center, meeting rooms, laundry service and restaurant. The hotel automatically charges guests an additional $25 per person per night as a 'resort fee' when they check in. This fee enable guests to use canoe and kayaks for one hour a day, to ride resort bicycles, and to use the Camp Creek and Shark's Tooth golf clubs.
