Enumclaw, in western Washington, is a city of just under 12,000 people, and covers three and a half square miles. Nestled between horse and farm country and the Cascade Mountains, it's considered the "Base Camp" to the northern entrance to Mt. Ranier, and draws a good number of visitors. The name "Enumclaw" means "thundering noise."
