Motels in Shoal Bay, Anguilla

The Caribbean island of Anguilla is in the Leeward Island archipelago and, according to the Lonely Planet, its remote location makes it a haven for the jet-set crew. It's only 26 km, or 16 miles, long and, as such, doesn't really support a motel culture. Nevertheless, a smattering of hotels across the island can provide you with a place to stay--at a price. Shoal Bay East, also known as Shoal Bay Village, is located in the northwestern corner, while you'll find West Shoal Bay in the southeastern corner. You're never far from one of the two Shoal Bays on Anguilla.

The suites are 775 square feet and all feature an oceanfront view. They're essentially small apartments, with a kitchen, living area, bedroom and bathroom. You'll enjoy TV with a DVD player, radio and Internet access here. A concierge can arrange services such as fishing trips and car rental. As of September 2010, rates start at $180 per night.
