St. Matthews is a city in the eastern suburbs of Louisville. Approximately 10 miles from downtown Louisville, St. Matthews is eight miles southwest of Churchill Downs, which is the home of the Kentucky Derby. Museums, parks, and the Belle of Louisville steamboat. Although they have Louisville postal addresses, many hotels are available in the immediate St. Matthews area.
