Negril, which is located on the west end of Jamaica, an island 50 miles south of Cuba, stretches out along 7 miles of white-sand beach. Negril, first named Negrillo in 1494 by the Spanish, has little known history and did not become a popular tourist destination until the 60's and 70's. It is home to numerous attractions, sightseeing opportunities and a variety of accommodations from large resorts to smaller quaint motels.

Grand Pineapple Beach, considered a budget accommodation, offers rooms either beachside or gardenside. The gardenside rooms are located across the street from the beach, amidst a tropical flower garden.
