Assiniboia is a small town in South Central Saskatchewan, Canada, about 45 miles north of the Canadian border with the United States, and about 65 miles south of Moose Jaw, with a population of 2,697 (2008 estimate). It is within easy driving distance of Old Wives Lake Bird Sanctuary and Grasslands National Park and will celebrate their centennial in August 2012.
