There are two parts to Iguazu Falls, in Argentina and in Brazil. The Argentinian side, Puerto Iguazu, sees about 350,000 visitors a year, so there are many hotels in the area, but they can fill-up in high-season. The town is about 12 miles from the falls, and buses from the bus terminal leave every 45 minutes, stopping at hotels on Route 12 along the way. The ride from town to the falls takes about 20 minutes. The park entrance fee is 30 pesos, or about $7.50 as of 2010. It is generally hot and humid in Iguazu, so air-conditioning and a pool are welcome comforts.
The Sheraton is inside Iguazu National Park, easily within walking distance of the falls. The 30 peso ($15) park entry fee is not included in the hotel price. The only hotel in the park, it offers panoramic views from all the rooms' private balconies. The luxurious rooms all include air-conditioning, Wi-Fi (for $15/ a day as of 2010) and ultra-comfortable Sheraton Sleeper beds. Amenities include a luxury spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, a golf club and a casino. The hotel's guests also have access to a 24-hour business center and medical and babysitting services. Airport transportation is available but limited, so call ahead. Enjoy an international buffet in the dining room or cocktails in the lobby bar; both have spectacular views.
