Damascus is a small town in a rural part of Montgomery County in central Maryland. Black Hill Regional Park and the Patuxent River State Park are nearby. Points of Civil War historical interest are also located in the greater-Damascus area. Damascus does not have its own motels, but several can be found in larger towns 20 or less miles away.
