Redington Beach is on a barrier island that borders the Gulf Coast of Tampa Bay. It's a small beach community with a population of about 1,500. Activities center around the water and include fishing charters, boat rentals, parasailing and dolphin watching. In addition, there are golf courses, a seabird sanctuary and a fun center.
Billows Motel is across the street from the beach and close to shopping. Rooms come with individual heating and air conditioning units and cable color TV. It has a 20-foot-by-40-foot heated swimming pool, a new beach pavilion, gas barbecue, shuffleboard, a laundry, and tropical gardens. A bus stops at the door and can take you to nearby shops and restaurants. There is daily maid service except Sunday and holidays. All rooms have color cable TV and phones, heat and air conditioning. In 2010 the rates for an efficiency ran between $69 and $108 depending on the unit and the season.
