Martensville, Saskatchewan, is located a short drive north of Saskatoon. A small city, it has a population just under 7,000 as of 2009. Martensville was established in 1939 and is today one of Saskatchewan's fastest-growing communities, according to the town's website. Visitors come to Martensville for the four-season outdoor recreation. Activities include a new aquatic center, trails and lakes. Buster Days, its annual festival, is held in June and offers dances, Slo-Pitch tournaments, a parade, magic show and face painting. The town only has one hotel, but there are others a short drive away.

Warman Hotel is located 12 minutes from Martensville. The hotel has a long history dating back to 1907, but has been renovated and updated over the years to include Jacuzzi rooms and a pub. Nearby attractions include the Warman Diamond Arena and Warman Golf Club. The building is not pet-friendly. A laundry room and wine and beer store are on site.
