The tranquil community of Woodstock is comprised of six villages, South, North, East and West Woodstock, Woodstock Hill and Woodstock Valley. The main house was built in 1816 for William Bowen, whose descendants still own the farmland surrounding this lovely property. The Bowen family are historically important in the area. The main house has 18 rooms, and the cottage features 3 rooms. All rooms have a private bath, TV, wireless Internet access and telephone. Some have four poster beds and fireplaces. Known in times past as The Mansion, the Elias Child House was built around 1720. Well preserved and carefully updated, the house retains many original features. The original privy is no longer in use, but is a talking point in the screened porch. There are two guest rooms and a suite. Children and dogs are welcome; there is a fee for the dogs. A hearty cooked breakfast is served, daily.
Taylor's Corner was built around 1730, and all owners since then have been carefully documented. Three guest rooms are furnished with antiques and preserve the feel of centuries past. All rooms have a private bath, a working fireplace and wireless Internet. Three common rooms allow for quiet reading, playing the piano or watching TV.
