Hallstatt is a popular lakeside resort town in Austria. Included on the UNESCO "World Cultural and Natural Heritage" sites in December 1997, the town is a part of the Austrian Romantic Road which is a scenic route that stretches from Salzburg to Vienna. Attractions include the Hallstatt lake which is known as the Hallstättersee, mountains and a salt museum which features a history of 7000 years of mining. There are a range of hotel accommodations for every type of traveler looking to enjoy what Hallstatt has to offer.
Established in the 16th century, this hotel is owned by the Höll family. Also known in English as the Weisses Lamm Inn, the hotel is close to the Hallstatt lake and should not be confused with a similarly named hotel in Germany. As the town’s roads are too small for cars, the hotel provides free parking for the only mode of transportation - bicycles. All ten rooms come with internet accessibility, a safe, satellite television, a bathroom and a telephone. The hotel’s wellness area is equipped with a solid wood sauna, a steam shower cubicle with 20 massage nozzles and a foot massage unit, a treadmill and an infrared heat cubicle. A room with two twin size beds will cost €47 (USD $62.16), per person, for one night. Children under the age of 4 stay for free and children aged 5 to 15 can use a third bed in their parent’s room at a cost of €17 (USD $22.48) per night.
