With an entire water park, mini-golf course and movie theater all located right in your hotel, you may never want to leave the Nickelodeon Suites Resort to explore the rest of Orlando! The hotel is hard to miss with its neon green and orange exterior, a theme that carries over to the suites, which are brightly decorated with Nickelodeon characters.
The Nickelodeon Hotel is located just off of Highway 536 in Orlando, Florida. You will be close to the local parks, with only about a five minute drive to the Disney World, 20 minutes to Sea World, and 25 to Universal Studios Orlando. Downtown Orlando is about half an hour away, while an hour's drive will put you on Cocoa Beach. You can be at the Orlando International Airport in about half an hour.
As the name implies, all of the rooms at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort are suites. You can choose from one-, two- or three-bedroom suites, all of which have premium cable, a dining table, and blackout drapes to combat the powerful Florida sun while you sleep. The suites all include local calls, complimentary toiletries and wireless Internet. The one- and three-bedroom suites have kitchens with refrigerators and microwaves, while the two-bedroom suites have kitchenettes with mini-fridges and microwaves.
The hotel's pool area is a water park. The Lagoon Pool features a seven-story tower of slides, nets to climb, water jets and a giant bucket that dumps water on you. Towels, interactive water toys, and complimentary life jackets are on hand. The second pool, called the Oasis Pool, offers even more water slides and flumes with a separate play area for smaller children. There are also two whirlpools for guests ages thirteen and up.
If you want a break from the pool, you can join in the daily poolside activities or enjoy the poolside nine-hole mini-golf course or basketball courts. There is also a theater that plays both Nick Jr shows for the little ones and "4D" movies, which step up from 3D by adding wind, water and scent effects. If you prefer live entertainment, you have free access to the daily live game shows, karaoke, and stage shows. The hotel even offers a kid's spa, where they can get manicures, hair wraps or braids, or airbrushed temporary tattoos.
While some hotels offer only one or two options for drinks or dining, the Nickelodeon Suites offer a grand total of 10. You can start your morning with breakfast with characters like SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer or let the food come to you by ordering room service. During the day, you have a choice of a buffet-style restaurant or casual dining. Quick options include a pool bar and grill, drinks in the lounge or snacks from the hotel's store.
