Mount Olive is located in Wayne County, in the eastern area of North Carolina. The town is an hour's drive southeast of the state capital of Raleigh, and within driving distance of the Civil War Trail and several beaches. The town also is minutes from Neuse State Park, with its campsites, hiking trails and fishing opportunities. Mount Olive is home to the Mount Olive Pickle Company, and hosts an annual pickle festival on the last weekend of April.
