In the heart of Ovando, Blackfoot Inn is located in one of the historical downtown 100-year-old buildings where the Elkhorn Bar and Cooper's Hotel were once located. The small inn has a limited occupancy of only five rooms, which are equipped with private bathrooms. It is located just above the Blackfoot Commercial Company, which offers visitors easy access to groceries and other necessities. Room rates range from $60 to $70 per night, as of January 2011.
Offering horseback riding, fishing and hiking opportunities, the Whitetail Guest Ranch provides visitors to the area with recreation, lodging and meals. Located on the outskirts of Ovando, the ranch has been in operation since 1937 and offers comfortable accommodations in its guest cabins as well as three daily meals prepared on the premises.
Along Lake Upsata outside of Ovando, the Lake Upsata Guest Ranch offers visitors lakeside views, comfortable cabins and plenty of opportunities for recreational fun. The cabins boast coffee pots, refrigerators, showers, vanities and queen-sized beds. For fun, visitors can partake in a variety of activities from backpacking to elk hunting.
For visitors to Ovando who are seeking an unconventional lodging experience, the Krutar Homestead might be ideal. While not a traditional hotel, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom Homestead, located less than six miles from Ovando, offers nightly and weekly accommodations to visitors. Rates start at $350 per night for two people with a minimum reservation of two nights. Weekly rates start at $1,800 per week. Additional fees are charged for parties of more than two people, though children under the age of 6 years old are free.
