The Egyptian Sands at RR 329 is the only motel within the city of Whitehall, but a Ramada is centrally located at 1500 Macarthur Road. Nearby destinations, include Dorney Park and the Wildwater Kingdom. They are also within 10 miles of the Blue Mountain ski area, the Stabler Arena, the Crayola Factory and Clover Hill Vineyards.
Just over two miles from Whitehall is the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Pittsburgh. Room rates are around $150 a night on average (as of January 2011). The hotel offers an indoor pool and upscale amenities like kitchenettes, a breakfast buffet, gym, high speed Internet and whirlpool spa. The Comfort Inn West Mifflin is located nearby, with rooms averaging at about $100 a night.
A number of upscale lodging choices are located about four and a half miles outside of Whitehall. The Holiday Inn Express, the Sheraton Station Square, and the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center are located in Pittsburgh. The Crown Plaza and the Courtyard by Marriott are located in West Homestead. These hotels run more than $100 a night (as of January 2011).
Still less than five miles from Whitehall, but under $100 a night (as of January 2011) are several hotels. Comfort Inn and Suites is just four miles from Whitehall with rooms around $80. Go another half mile out and find the Econo Lodge in Clairton, with rooms starting at around $59. Just a bit further out and you'll find the Extended Stay America-Pittsburgh in West Mifflin with rooms in the $80 range.
