Hotels Nearest Elbert, CO

A town so small it lacks even a café, Elbert, Colorado, is east of Interstate 25, halfway between Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. It is a cattle ranching community of fewer than 1,500 people, situated at a lofty 6,720 feet of elevation. While Elbert and its nearest Elbert County neighbors are too small to support even a bed and breakfast, several lodging options can be found less than an hour southwest, in Monument and Colorado Springs.
  1. Sundance Mountain Lodge

    • Designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright in 1976 and fully remodeled in 2008, the Sundance Mountain Lodge is a unique and modern Colorado boutique lodge. Sundance Mountain Lodge is situated on five acres of landscaped grounds, mature trees, waterfalls, walking paths, a central courtyard, natural gardens, streams and bridges.

Its location in Monument Hill provides panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, including Pikes Peak. The property also features a fire pit, seasonal pool and outdoor patio. The quiet, clean rooms all have patios, balconies and views. One- or two-room suites are available with a kitchenette, bar and large sitting area. On-site food and drinks are available at Oakley's Bistro and Café, featuring live music on Saturday nights.

    Rogers Inn The Pines

    • Located in Monument, Rogers Inn The Pines is a bed and breakfast with three spacious queen or king guest rooms and one family suite, each decorated in the style of a different European location. Each room features a private bath, robes, slippers and high-speed Internet access.

A gourmet hot breakfast is served daily in the dining room or on the deck overlooking a Colorado pine forest, and afternoon snacks and drinks are served each afternoon in the English Pub common area or on the deck. Outdoor areas feature a fire pit and hot tub.

Black Forest Bed & Breakfast Lodge and Cabins

    • The Black Forest is the highest point east of the Rocky Mountains, and it's where Black Forest Bed & Breakfast is located, which is comprised of a massive log home, log cabin, guest houses and lodge. The property is on 20 acres of forest and meadows with views of the Rocky Mountains.

All rooms have private baths, while the Romantic Suites in the main house feature jetted tubs and fireplaces. Breakfast is served to your door each morning. A full kitchen and laundry facilities are available, and the property features a fenced yard with playground.

Renaissance Hotel, Spa and Conference Center

    • Farthest from Elbert, but well-placed in the heart of Colorado Springs, is the Renaissance Hotel. A traditional luxury hotel, the Renaissance features guest rooms and suites fitted with upscale linens, flat-screen television, a sofa-bed, high-speed Internet access and a conference-capable telephone system. Amenities include an on-site restaurant and lounge, indoor pool, fitness center, marketplace with Internet café, a business center and full-service spa.
