Kay El Bar Guest Ranch, an authentic dude ranch, is located in the middle of the Bradshaw Mountains and has been hosting out-of-towners since 1926. Though a large part of the accommodations offered by Kay El Bar Guest Ranch are in a main building, there are three private cottages. The Homestead House, the original headquarters when the property was a cattle ranch, offers a spacious two bedrooms and two baths that can sleep five adults and two children. There are two smaller casitas, Casa Grande and Casa Monterey, which can sleep four and two people, respectively. While only Casa Grande welcomes visitors with a fire place, both cabins have walk-in showers and sit beneath salt cedar and eucalyptus trees.
Located at 6,000 foot in the Bradshaw Mountains, Bear Creek Cabins are cozy and welcoming in the often chilly weather. While the cabins are on the smaller side, they each offer beds and some have sitting areas and kitchens. The cabins are also reasonably priced at about $100 per night as of 2010.
If neither of the cabin rental options in Wickenburg suit your needs, try nearby Creekside Preserve Lodge in Prescott. Just an hour and a half north, the lodge offers several cabins with fireplaces, porches, jacuzzi tubs, kitchenettes and king size beds.
Or try Apple Creek Cottages, with 14 cabins sleeping between two and six people on the one and a half acres with two creeks. Each cottage has a full kitchen, a living room with a fire place and tons of natural sunlight. The grassy courtyard features gas grills, small ponds, patio furniture and a fire pit.
