Alpine Mountain Cabins

• The Alpine Mountain Cabins include nine units located just two miles from the village of Helen. Accommodations include one- and two-bedroom cabins. Sleeping lofts and Jacuzzi tubs are available in some of the units. All units include linens and have air conditioning, kitchenettes, cable TV and VCR /DVD players. Gas log fireplaces may be used in season. All cabins are nonsmoking. Guests have access to a large open deck shared by other cabin guests. Alpine Mountain Cabins also offer two luxury cabins that sleep six and include Jacuzzi tubs. These cabins are furnished with two queen beds, a sleeper sofa and a loft bedroom, two full baths, a wood-burning fireplace, an outdoor grill and porches with rocking chairs. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor activities in the area including hiking trails, mountain biking, horseback riding and fishing. Rates begin at $85 per night as of 2010.

• These cottages and cabins are located just four miles north of Helen. Access to the Appalachian Trail is nearby. Most of the Timberloft cabins include custom pine interiors, vaulted ceilings, fireplaces and equipped kitchens or kitchenettes and outdoor grills. Some cabins include Jacuzzi tubs or hot tubs on decks overlooking the forest. Nightly rates for these cabin rentals begin at $75 per night as of 2010. Some units require a two-night minimum stay.

Helen Riverside Cabin

• This individual cabin is located in Helen on the Chattahoochee River. The cabin is a short walk from downtown shopping and restaurants. Built in 2009, it includes two bedrooms with queen beds and two bathrooms with jetted tubs. Linens are provided, and a washer and dryer are in the cabin. The living/dining room has a vaulted ceiling with wood beams. A flat-screen TV and DVD player are included. The cabin has cable TV and wireless Internet service. The full kitchen includes cooking equipment, dishes and silverware. There is also a gas grill on the deck. Guests should bring personal toiletries and food items including staples. Rates begin at $165 per night as of 2010. A two-night minimum stay is required.
