Helen is a re-creation of an Alpine village in northeast Georgia. The city is in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River. German-themed shops and restaurants line cobblestone paths through Helen; yearly events include Oktoberfest, Winefest and Bavarian Nights of Summer. Cabin rentals are available throughout the city in different settings, styles and sizes. The town's proximity to the Chattahoochee River makes it easy to find a riverside cabin.
Located within one block of downtown Helen, Riverbend Cabins are in a more public area on the Chattahoochee River than other secluded cabins. Cabin may include Jacuzzi tub, sleeper sofa, full kitchen, gas fireplace, grill, picnic area and river view. There is an upstairs loft and living room; cabins sleep up to four people. Seasonal rates apply and group rates are available.

Bear Creek offers rooms in the lodge as well as five cabins, two of which are aside the river. The "River View Cabin" sleeps five and includes a private hot tub, kitchen and porch. The "Fisherman's Cabin" is 50 feet from the Chattahoochee River, sleeps six and includes a kitchen and a porch.

There is one cabin on the river available from Black Forest. The two-bedroom "Executive River Cabin" is located one and one-half miles north of Helen. This cabin includes unlimited long distance, high-speed wireless Internet, 42-inch LCD TV with satellite, hot tub, fireplace, wrap-around deck, all linens, full kitchen, washer and dryer. Weekends require a two-night minimum. Black Forest charges a cleaning fee if the cabin requires more cleaning time than that normally allotted to clean the cabin and if smoking or pets were allowed indoors.

There are four cabins available through A-1 Vacation Rentals that are located on the Chattahoochee River in Helen. Cabins have different amenities including: private dock on the river, pool table, air hockey table, wet bar, flat screen television, themed bedrooms, gourmet kitchen, fireplace, grill, Internet, hot tub, washer and dryer. There is a two-night minimum stay; certain holidays may require a longer stay at a higher rate. A security deposit is required as well as a processing fee. Nightly rates are for a set amount of adults (between two and six adults depending on the property); there is an additional charge for extra adults.
