Kings River runs through Madison County, Arkansas. The area's main activities are fishing and hiking. Hikers can enjoy waterfalls, as well as the surrounding flora and fauna. Azalea Falls Cabin is about seven miles from Kings River. The 1,700-square-foot cabin is spacious and full of modern luxuries, such as satellite TV, central heat and air conditioning, and a telephone. With three large bedrooms, three pull-out couches and two-and-a-half bathrooms, the cabin can comfortably accommodate 12 people. It also has a full kitchen, living room and large deck. A hiking trail takes visitors through fields of wildflowers to a waterfall.

Mountain Springs Cabins is a 30-minute drive from Kings River and has one cabin for rent, the Eagle's Rest Cabin. The cedar cabin was built by Amish craftsmen and has old-fashioned decor. Six to eight people can sleep in the cabin, which has a full kitchen, whirlpool bath, gas fireplace, digital TV with DVD player, gas grill and outdoor campfire ring. Deer, wild turkeys, chipmunks, rabbits and squirrels are some of the animals you may see while relaxing at the cabin.

Rimrock Cove Ranch is about 20 miles from Kings River and offers one cabin for rent, the Stonewall Cabin. The cabin opened in 2002 after two years of construction. It has a full kitchen, wrap-around porch, two stories, handmade furniture and a living room. Flowerbeds, a charcoal grill, pond and hiking trails are outside of the cabin, which is open year-round.

Steel Creek Cabins, 17 miles from Kings River, has two cabins for rent. Each cabin is fully equipped and decorated with antiques and collectibles. A Jacuzzi tub, dining room, living room, TV with VCR, and air conditioning are some of the amenities the cabin offers. Outside the cabin, there is a grill, campfire pit, covered porches and picnic area.
