Lake Ouachita is a 40,000 acre lake created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, situated in the Ouachita National Forest. The lake has more than 200 islands. Enjoy scuba diving, boating, water skiing, fishing and camping at the lake and in the surrounding area. You can even camp on one of the 100 uninhabited islands. One-room cabins can be rented in the surrounding area.
Woodhaven cabin at Willowbrook Cottage and Cabins is a one-room cabin with a double bed and two single beds in a loft. It is equipped with a VCR and CD player, fireplace, kitchenette, Jacuzzi tub and shower, charcoal BBQ, wireless Internet and a dining and living room area. The nightly rate is $135 for two people and $10 per additional person. Pets are welcome. Children are welcome with a $50 child security deposit, and reservations must be made four weeks prior to your visit. Enjoy hiking, fishing, tennis and shopping during your stay. The Backwoods Lodge and Cabins has one-room cabins with a full bathroom, kitchenette, toaster, refrigerator, coffee pot, heat and air conditioning, TV and a ceiling fan. You will have a double bed and a futon couch in the cabin. Each cabin has a covered patio with a grill. Cabin rates are $75 to $125 per night, and children under 12 stay free. No pets are allowed at Backwoods Lodge and Cabins. During your stay, go on a bear hunt, visit local shops, enjoy the fall foliage, attend parade or swim in the lakes, streams or rivers. Enjoy the ATV trails, mountain biking, rock climbing, hang gliding, horse trails, sailing, canoeing and kayaking. Outfitters are available to lead bear, duck, turkey and deer hunts.

The Wild Thing Hideaway is Meadow Pine Cabins' one-bedroom cabin. Decorated in a safari theme, The Hideaway is secluded near the woods. Nightly rates are $125 to $135 per night.
