Motels on the Olympic Peninsula

The Olympic Peninsula is 2,000 square miles of pristine forests, wilderness and rugged coastlines located across Puget Sound from Seattle, Washington.     • The Forks Motel is located in the heart of the Olympic Peninsula on Highway 101 in Forks, 75 minutes west of Port Angeles. The area is a prime base for outdoor enthusiasts, with central access to attractions such as Hoh Rain Forest, ocean beaches and Lake Crescent. Teen vampire enthusiasts can base "team" excursions from the motel to locations mentioned and used in the "Twilight" books and films, which Forks has embraced with commercial zeal. The AAA 2-diamond motel offers 73 rooms and suites available with microwaves, refrigerators, in-room coffee and wireless Internet. Full kitchen, wheelchair and smoking units are available. A seasonal outdoor pool is open June through September. Cafes, pizza and baked goods are 2 blocks north of its location, with many more dining locations within a short drive.

    Indian Valley Motel

    • The Indian Valley Motel is located 13 miles west of Port Angeles on Highway 101. Rooms are basic with private baths. Suites are equipped with microwave, refrigerator, TV and an electric fireplace. The property is quiet, surrounded by untouched forest and meadows. An adjoining cafe serves traditional American breakfast daily from 8 a.m. The motel is close to golf, hiking trails, swimming, fishing and whitewater paddling.

    Sundowner Motel

    • The Sundowner Motel is located just north of Highway 101 in Sequim, 17 miles east of Port Angeles, Washington. Air-conditioned rooms and suites are available with kitchenettes, microwave, freezer, TV. There is space for recreational vehicles. Pets are permitted in some rooms. Seniors receive a 10 percent discount. The motel is close to many outdoor destinations for hiking, swimming, fishing and sailing. A Vegas-style casino is 4 miles away. Nearby activities for children include the Olympic Game Farm and the Salt Creek County Park's tidal pools. Sequim averages only 16 inches of rain per year and has the sunniest climate on the Olympic Peninsula.
