Dillon, Montana Lodging

Dillon is a town of about 4,000 people in the heart of Montana's "Gold West Country." Its first settlements and ranches date to the 1860s with the arrival of sheep and cattle ranches. Today, the area attracts visitors to its nearby rivers, forests, mountains and historic sites.
  1. Campgrounds

    • To the east of Dillon lie vast stretches of grazing land.

Dillon serves as a relaxing stop for a day or two for campers and RVers. The Dillon KOA offers four cabins, 30 tent sites and 68 RV sites. Southside RV Park is near the downtown area and offers 40 full-service sites, restrooms with showers, free cable TV and laundry facilities.

    Ranch Guest Houses

    • Tourists who prefer something in the country can choose Goose Down Ranch just four miles south of Dillon by the Beaverhead River. Guests can also stay at nearby working ranches. Choices include Hidden Valley Guest Ranch, Beaverhead Rock Ranch Guest Houses and "flavor-of-the-old-West" Centennial Inn.

    Motels

    • Dillon is not a town of fancy lodges, but it does have quality motels. The Dillon Beaverhead Inn was built in 2010 in a quiet, park-like location in town. The GuestHouse Inn & Suites was built in 1999 and includes two spa suites and two family rooms with bunk beds, an indoor pool and spa, business center and meeting room. Lodgings that also have been rated highly by guests are the Best Western, Motel 6, Comfort Inn, Sundowner, Super 8 and Guesthouse International.
